Georgian Bay
On Monday Aug 30 We arrived at Wasaga Beach on Georgian Bay at Mike's parent's cottage. This was just great to get an opportunity to hang out with his family and enjoy a beautiful area of the world. Wasaga beach is apparently the longest continuous freshwater beach in the world.
On the second day we got an opportunity to check out the Pretty River Park trail system and "Stage 3" trails system. This is a hill (can't call it a mountain), about 20 minutes out of town that touts itself as the best Ontario has to offer in terms of riding. The riding was actually pretty good. We killed a few hours here. I wish I had more to report on sight seeing etc around this area but Lisa and I were just having a good time hanging out with Ona, Vyta and their kids. There was really no reason to go exploring.

Onto Toronto
We arrived in Toronto on the First of August and immediately headed onto the ferry bound for Toronto Island. Toronto Island for those not in the know is a small island about 1 km off from downtown Toronto. We got lucky enough to have a great friend who was able to find us a a room. The island is really quite fantastic. It was perfect for Lisa and me in that we spent a day checking out Toronto and then were able to completely unplug the evening. We had a great meal at our friend's restaurant on the island called
'The Rectory Cafe'. A converted old house that now seats what looks like maybe a hundred or so people for very good dining.

Visiting Toronto was pretty cool. We saw what I would assume most tourists go and visit. Kensington Market (hippy village), the University of Toronto and Queen Street West. I managed to put my back out so was out of commission in Chinatown getting acupuncture while Lisa was doing a bit more sightseeing.
I like Toronto. It was really easy to get around and people were very nice.

We are heading out today to do some exploring on the island and then busting out for Montreal. We are into our last month. Hard to believe time is flying by this fast.
Sorry for the dullness of this post but really Toronto is just another city. I will take some pictures of a shops selling fudge or something.
